I had already signed up for growingambitions. Are you trying to duplicate what they do-isn't this counter-productive?

Bridge the vocational and academic by adopting the Tomlinson report recommendations for an overarching diploma.

This would help employers by offering more information than GCSE or A-level grades can.

What it would tell them is the standard achieved, not only in their specialist subject, but whether or not they had reached an appropriate standard in the key skills of literacy, numeracy and use of ICT (information and communication technology).

It would also tell the employer a lot about the individuals' other work that is not examined - whether that is voluntary service or anything of that description."

The changes could also improve the profile of vocational courses, as they could get greater recognition than they have at present.

Does education work for employers?

Aren't you looking for a person to fit the specific job/career that they have applied for, even if they have specific qualifications required for the hypothetical position, it doesn't make them right for it, that’s what interviews are for.’

"Don't you think as employers you should be looking past qualifications and presumed social status, when looking at a CV aren’t you looking for 'the person', what they have to say about themselves, their goals?
