DYW Glasgow celebrate career path diversity #NoWrongPath

It’s Scottish Exam Results Day today and Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) Glasgow are celebrating the range and diversity of career paths that are followed after leaving school with a brilliant social media campaign

DYW says:

‘We recognise that some young people may be disappointed with their exam results and so we are aiming to promote the message that many people in interesting job roles across Scotland may not have taken a straight, obvious or traditional path to get there.’

DYW is the Scottish Government’s national strategy for strengthening links between businesses and education with the headline aim of reducing youth unemployment by 40% by 2021.

The strategy is delivered by employer led regional groups across Scotland and Glasgow was the first DYW Group to launch back in 2014.

Led by Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, DYW Glasgow builds on the recommendations of the Youth Employment Action Group with the key focuses being on strengthening industry engagement with education and increasing employment opportunities for young people in the city.
