Young people invited to share their views on school, with the chance to appear on MTV!
24/08/2009
As exam results make education a hot topic, young people across the country are being invited to voice their opinion about school, with the chance to appear on MTV!

With an election looming, the next five years in education are being decided now and for the first time ever young people can have their say on future education policy and send a message to the political party manifestos.

Edge is urging young people to come down to events Bristol, London, Manchester and Sheffield to tell the student film crew their thoughts on what they feel needs to change in schools, along with subject they would most like the chance to study – and why.

These film clips will be used in future Edge campaigns. In the autumn, the views of young people will be presented to the politicians that are drafting the education policies for the next election. This is all part of Edge’s revolution campaign for more practical and vocational learning in schools.

Those that take part in this exciting opportunity will also be entered into a prize draw to win an iPhone.

The events are taking place in:

BRISTOL- 24th August- Broadmead Shopping Centre
LONDON- 25th August- Camden Lock
MANCHESTER- 26th August- Piccadilly Gardens
SHEFFIELD- 27th August- Meadowhall Shopping Centre

Television and radio news reporters and official media photographers are invited to cover the events. For more information please contact Sarah Davidson or Zoe Penn at Band & Brown on 020 7419 6950 / edgeteam@bbpr.com
