Edge commissioned the SCRE Centre at the University of Glasgow to investigate employers’ perceptions of the employability skills of new graduates.
Some higher education institutions help students develop employability skills through work placements. Others run schemes to accredit skills gained in part-time work and volunteering. However, this report shows that good practice is very patchy - in fact, some HEIs do not see employability as an important part of their mission.
