The Skills Show

The Skills Show (sponsored by Edge and City & Guilds) returns for its second year, being held over three days from 14-16 November 2013 at the NEC Birmingham. Free to attend, the UK's largest skills and careers event inspires young people with exciting opportunities in further education, skills and Apprenticeships.

A highly interactive experience, the show features the opportunity to try bite-size tasters of work-related skills, speak with employers about job and training opportunities, receive specialist advice, hear industry speakers and watch skill performances and competitions - all under one roof!

WorldSkills UK

WorldSkills UK Competitions

Competitors who reach the finals of the WorldSkills UK National Competitions will battle it out to be named 'the best of the best' in the UK' in their chosen skill in front of 100,000 spectators at The Skills Show which takes place from 14 - 16 November at the NEC, Birmingham.   

What's more, outstanding national finalists from this year's WorldSkills UK National Competition cycle, who meet the qualifying criteria, could be selected for a once in a lifetime opportunity to represent the UK in their chosen skill at the international WorldSkills Competition.

The Department for Education have formally announced that 20 applications to open a Studio School in 2013 will now proceed to the interview stage of the application process. Find out more here
