AELP National Conference 2014

The AELP National Conference 2014 website is live and ready to accept delegate, exhibitor & sponsorship registrations.  

We are delighted to present the Sponsorship and Exhibition Opportunities Brochure  for the forthcoming AELP National Conference 2014 which details costs, floor plans and the benefits of exhibiting or sponsoring at our conference.

All exhibition and sponsorship bookings can now be made online through the AELP National Conference 2014 website. Exhibition slots are offered on a first come, first served basis so make your booking as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

The Skills Show

The Skills Show (sponsored by Edge and City & Guilds and Premier Colleges) returns for its third year, being held over three days from 13-15 November 2014at the NEC Birmingham. Free to attend, the show inspires young people about vocational education, skills and careers through a series of interactive events.

A highly interactive experience, the show features the opportunity to try bite-size tasters of work-related skills, speak with employers about job and training opportunities, receive specialist advice, hear industry speakers and watch skill performances and competitions - all under one roof!

WorldSkills UK Competitions

The WorldSkills UK Online Registration Guide gives handy tips on how to register your entries successfully. Please note, all accounts not validated within 48 hours will be deleted.

Once you have completed your registration, please do take the time to read the Competitor Preparation Toolkit. It contains a number of useful modules to help entrants prepare for their competition.

Don't delay in signing up your apprentices and learners to the WorldSkills UK National Competitions.

Competitors who reach the finals of the WorldSkills UK National Competitions will battle it out to be named 'the best of the best' in the UK' in their chosen skill in front of thousands of spectators at The Skills Show which takes place from 13 - 15 November at the NEC, Birmingham.

We are pleased to advise you that the Pupil Premium Summer Schools Programme 2014 is now open for applications. If you are interested in Skills to Shine planning, developing and delivering your Summer School, there is still some availability throughout the summer.

This year's challenge will be: 'Into the Future'.

Imagine what life will be like in the future; What will the world look like? How will we travel? How will we communicate? And to make all of this possible, what jobs and careers will exist in the future?

By delving into computer science, specifically coding and programming, students will get a head start this summer on the new computing curriculum. Our Summer Schools will also prepare young people for the transition into secondary by increasing their motivation and desire for learning, together with giving them the skills, knowledge and experience to achieve their aspirations.
