Cassie Cramer is the new Edge Future Learning Employer Engagement and Education Manager.
She joins Edge from School 21, a pioneering free school in East London where Cassie was the Programme Manager for the Real World Learning Programme. At School 21 Cassie adapted, facilitated and maintained a programme which saw every Year 10 and Year 12 student work on an authentic 15 week project with an external partner organisation.
The Real World Learning Programme is a pillar of the unique offer at School 21, and working on it aligned with Cassie’s passion for enabling social mobility and educational equity. Through this role Cassie developed strong partnerships across the education sector, and with a wide variety of organisations looking for a way to engage meaningfully with young people.
Cassie has a background in archaeology and cultural heritage, which led her to work in educational programme development and engagement in these subject areas. Cassie has designed and facilitated workshops in schools across the UK with community interest company Big Ideas. Cassie is also passionate about antiracism and has been a founding member of antiracism working groups in various organisations.
Cassie hopes to bring her experience in providing transformational experiences to young people to her work with Edge, and plans to support the implementation of different forms of Real World Learning across many educational contexts.
