Shadow Skills Minister, Gordon Marsden, quoted recent Edge research in arguing for better careers advice during the Report Stage of the Technical and Further Education Bill in the House of Commons.

He told MPs that the report Edge published last December showed that the poor quality of careers advice was limiting young people’s choices and that it had found that only 1% of students viewed careers advice as the most important influence on their decision to stay on in further education and that over half said they wanted more information from employers.
