While the UK has been in lockdown there has been much reflection around what we value, what we want to keep and what we want to change in education following the Covid-19 pandemic. During this time Edge asked key figures from the education world and beyond what their #EducationWish would be for the future.
Edge took the time to think about some of our top wishes too:
- That all young people in school can access a broad and balanced curriculum, including technical and creative education, taught through the lens of the real world. Find out how this could work here.
- That Colleges should be properly funded to recruit industry-leading staff, who can share their skills whilst also remaining connected to the world of work. Read more about this here.
- That Apprenticeships should be refocused principally on 16-24 year olds and broadened to provide a range of transferable skills. Read more about this here.
- That Higher Education should be much more closely connected to work through real world projects and placements. Find out how this could work here.
