Emerging Researchers Network

Edge’s Emerging Researchers Network (ERN) provides support for PhD Students and early career researchers working on research around Edge’s four key themes.

The group meets three times a year, once a term, to make links between research projects and provide opportunities for researchers to discuss topical issues and share their current research.

Membership grants access to a well-established network dedicated to advancing research in VET, connections with policy and policymakers, and opportunities for active involvement in engagement and consultancy. For regular and active members, we offer opportunities to apply for funding:

• Open, rolling call for seed funding for research projects, with individual and collaborative awards of £3000-£6000.
• Funded opportunities to contribute policy reviews to our Learning from the past series.
• Bursaries to cover costs of presenting at academic conferences.
• Expenses to cover the cost of travel to in-person ERN meetings.
