Too many young Londoners are struggling to find a route into employment. Held Back argues that London’s youth unemployment challenge is not primarily an education problem. It is a transition problem. Young people are succeeding in education, but there’s a breakdown in the pathway from the classroom into the workplace. Drawing on data from London and comparable city regions, this report examines why that gap exists and what can be done to close it.
