This report examines the characteristics of hidden NEETs using the latest wave of the Millennium Cohort Study, which captures young people aged 22–23 in 2023–24. They study two issues: how hidden NEETs are supporting themselves and whether they are struggling financially; and whether hidden NEETs are in need of employment support, based on their labour market behaviour and underlying employability. The main findings validated for all NEETs aged 18–24 using the Labour Force Survey.
