Skills Shortages bulletin 13
Our thirteenth bulletin explores a how a lack of competitiveness, education and training can be overcome in different sectors
Now more than ever before, the implications of Brexit, Covid-19 and the Fourth industrial revolution are exacerbating the scale of skill shortages across the UK. However, with the closure of the UK commission on employment and skills (UKCES) there is no organisation keeping track of the size and shape of skills shortages in the UK. Noticing this gap, the Edge foundation has stepped forward to convene key organisations and academics to produce a regular series of Skills Shortage Bulletins exploring skills shortages across key areas of the economy.
