This latest report draws on research about two educational programmes - Edge Future Learning (EFL) funded by the Edge Foundation in England and Excelerate funded by the Wood Foundation in Scotland. Both sought to broaden and transform education and training in schools and colleges by connecting learning through real life projects and employer engagement. This report distils and presents lessons from both programmes to support policy makers and practitioners to make education more relevant and bring the curriculum to life for young people. Edge Future Learning (EFL) and Excelerate have been recently evaluated and researched separately and these reports offer valuable further details and lessons learnt.
